Two days ago I was so glad to receive my very good brother and friend the Executive Governor of Osun state H.E Ademola Adeleke and his beautiful Wife Mrs Titi Adeleke today at my office
.
Our engagement was centered on seeking a Further collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and the Osun State Government to improve on women development and agreeing on various numbers of policy actions.
I really want to thank the Governor of Osun state for reaffirming his support for the Ministry and promises to implement the resolution of the Nigeria Governor’s Forum for the establishment of Mobile Courts dedicated to addressing issues of sexual and Gender based Violence,child abuse in the form of street begging and expedited trial of women and children held in correctional Facilities. I believe this is a good step in a right direction and when this is implemented across the 36 states,we will notice a decrease in sexual gender based Violence and other societal crimes .
The Ministry will also continue to ensure that Osun state Women are empowered sustainably to boost production,ensure food sufficiency and reduce Crime in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
