Governor Seyi Makinde has tongue-lashed his erstwhile political ally and leader of the G5, Nyesom Wike.
The governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde has responded to Nyesom Wike’s claim that he is responsible for the crisis rocking the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) amid the party’s leadership renewed effort to resposition the party.
Recall that Nyesom Wike through his X handle, disclosed that he will no longer be part of the ongoing reconciliatory effort by the party. He accuses the party’s leadership especially governor Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammad of selfishness, conspiring against him and vowed to challenge every of the party’s decision in court.
Governor Seyi Makinde speaking through his personal adviser, Dare Adeleke, described former governor Nyesom Wike as one who speaks from the both sides of his mouth. He stated that the former Rivers state governor is implementing president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ground plan to destroy opposition parties in the country.
He said Nyesom Wike has turned governance into a personal enterprise at the expense of the democratic values of Nigeria.
He explained that Nyesom Wike is the sole instigator of the crisis in the PDP necessary for president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection in 2027.
He said Nyesom Wike’s recent tantrum is a manifestation of his arrogance and lack of sense of leadership as he aims to sabotage the ongoing reconciliatory move in the PDP.
