Woman cries out after abroad husband installs CCTV all over their house
A married Nigerian woman has expressed frustration over her abroad-based husband’s decision to mount CCTV cameras everywhere in their house, saying the surveillance has left her feeling unsafe and constantly monitored.
In a video making the rounds on social media, the unidentified woman lamented that the cameras, equipped with two-way audio, deny her privacy in every corner of the home.
She recounted instances when she tried making TikTok videos in the compound, only for her husband, who monitors her remotely, to interrupt by speaking through the device. “Woman, Imo State woman,” she quoted him as saying, describing the experience as both invasive and unsettling.
The distressed wife added that she now feels uncomfortable in her kitchen, bedroom, and every space in the house. Expressing regret, she advised other women to avoid marrying men based abroad, suggesting that distance has fueled the lack of trust.
“No marry man wey dey abroad. I don tire, Chineke,” she said in Pidgin, emphasising her exhaustion with the constant surveillance.
