WHY AKURE NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT DESERVES TO PRODUCE THE REP TICKET IN 2027

The people of Akure North Local Government Area have made a compelling case for why their local government area should produce the next representative to the House of Representatives in 2027.

The Local Government Area has been consistently marginalized in the political representation of the constituency, and they believe it is now their turn to produce the representative.

Since 1999 till date, the local government area has not produced a representative to the House of Representatives, that is over two decades. The area has produced several notable leaders who have contributed significantly to the development of the State

It is a matter of fairness, equity, and justice to give Akure North Local Government Area a chance to produce the representative, since they are a significant stakeholder in the constituency.

Akure South, since 1999 has been producing the members of the House of Representatives, 2027 is the year to right the wrongs.

The community leaders and stakeholders urged the party leadership to consider the sentiments of the people and ensure that Akure North Local Government Area produces the next representative to the House of Representatives in 2027.

“The people of Akure North Local Government Area are united in their demand for justice and fairness in the political representation of our constituency. They have been marginalized for too long, and it is time for their voices to be heard.

The contributions of Akure North Local Government Area to the growth and development of the state is enormous. They should be given the opportunity to produce the next representative to the House of Representatives in 2027.

Historical marginalization: Akure North has not produced a representative to the House of Representatives since 1999, while Akure South has consistently produced representatives.

This is a matter of justice, equity, and fairness, and we are confident that the party leadership across board will see the wisdom in the demand.

The council is willing to work with the party leadership to ensure a peaceful and democratic process, but we will not be silenced or marginalized any longer.

The time for Akure North Local Government Area to produce the next representative is now, and we will continue to make our voices heard until our demand is met.
