VeryDarkMan Under Fire For Calling Benue The Most Underdeveloped State In Nigeria

Verydarkman a controversial social media activist, has sparked public outrage with his comments on Benue’s development.
In a viral video, he criticized Benue, calling it the most backward place he has visited.
VDM compared the current state of Benue to Nigeria in the 1940s, highlighting significant underdevelopment

Controversial social media activist, Verydarkman (VDM), has stirred public reaction following his scathing remarks about the state of development in Benue.

In a viral video shared after his recent trip to the state, the outspoken influencer described Benue as the most backward place he has ever visited, comparing its condition to Nigeria in the 1940s.

He made the remarks while reflecting on his visit to Yelwata, a community in the state, shortly after a deadly attack occurred in the area.

According to Verydarkman, his comments are based on firsthand experience. He noted that he had traveled to Yelwata to provide a borehole for the locals, but the initiative was halted due to ongoing security threats.

“Benue is still in the year 1940. It is the most underdeveloped state I have ever seen,” he said in the video.

He further stated that the combination of insecurity and poor infrastructure—especially the deplorable road conditions discourages investors and hampers development.

“I’m currently drilling a borehole in Yelwata, but the people can’t continue the work because they’re afraid of being killed,” he added.

Verydarkman’s comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some supporting his concerns while others criticized his approach.

@NaijaActivist001:”VDM said nothing but the truth. Benue has been abandoned for too long. Someone had to say it.”

@Iam_EfeBabe:”So because you’re drilling one borehole, you now get mouth to insult a whole state? Clout chaser”

@RealChuks_NG:”To be honest, I traveled through Benue recently and I agree with VDM. The roads are terrible.”

Queen_Maka:”This guy’s delivery is always harsh, but the message is valid. Benue deserves better infrastructure”

@MrDanjuma_Govt:”Instead of insulting the state, why not call on the government directly? Don’t shame the people.”
