University Student Arrested For Allegedly K!lling, Burying Colleague In Shallow Grav£
Timmap, a 300-level student, allegedly attacked and hacked Mafurai to death in his residence, according to a security source.
A23-year-old student of the University of Jos, identified as David Nanpon Timmap, has been arrested for allegedly killing and burying his colleague, Peter Mata Mafurai, 22, in a shallow grave inside his room at Rusau village, Jos North Local Government Area
Timmap, a 300-level student, allegedly attacked and hacked Mafurai to death in his residence, according to a security source.
According to the report, operatives of the Plateau State Command attached to Laranto Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, effected the arrest of the suspect after receiving a distress call at the scene.
“Following the distress call received at about 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, the Divisional Police Officer of Laranto Division led a team of officers to the scene, where the suspect was arrested.”
Investigations revealed that Timmap buried the victim in a shallow grave he dug inside his room.
Meanwhile, the remains have been exhumed and deposited at Bingham University Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy.
“The suspect is currently in custody while investigations continue to uncover the motive behind the gruesome killing,” police sources confirmed.
