UNIMEDTH Akure Complex Transferred To FUTA, Monarch Appreciates Governor

The Ondo State Government and the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in a significant move poised to enhance healthcare delivery and medical education in the state.
The signing ceremony marks the culmination of dedicated efforts and strategic collaborations between the state and federal entities.
In his statement at the historical event, His Royal Majesty, the Deji of Akure, Oba (Dr.) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, expressed his profound appreciation to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State who was ably represented by his deputy, Dr Olaide Adelami, MNI. The monarch commended the governor for his administration’s commitment, which was instrumental in “actualizing the dream” of the partnership.
The Deji of Akure specifically highlighted the contributions of key figures involved in the process. He offered special commendation for Professor Odimayo, recognizing his tireless efforts and pivotal role in facilitating the agreement.
“We recognize the rigour this achievement put you through, Prof Odimayo, the multiple meetings, the determination and commitment imputed. This we know, was borne out of your undying love for a more robust healthcare delivery, in order to ensure the actualization of the vision of the Governor for Ondo state,” Oba Deji emphasized.
Accordingly, the monarch extended his gratitude to the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pate, for his crucial support and contributions from the federal level, which helped pave the way for the MoU’s success.
Concluding his remarks, the traditional ruler offered hearty congratulations to the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of FUTATH, Professor Olusegun Ojo, on achieving this milestone. He also congratulated all indigenes of Akure, who are expected to be primary beneficiaries of the advancements and improved services resulting from this landmark collaboration.
