TRAGEDY STRIKES ALONG ARAMOKO-IJERO ROAD AS DANGOTE TRUCK AND PASSENGER BUS COLLIDE
A ghastly motor accident occurred yesterday evening along the Aramoko-Ijero road, resulting in the loss of one life and leaving several others injured.
The accident, which happened around 4:00 pm, involved a Dangote truck and an 18-passenger bus believed to be coming from Lagos. Eyewitnesses reported that the bus driver died instantly in the crash.
Chairman of Ijero Local Government, Hon. Abayomi Folowosele, swiftly arrived at the scene of the incident, accompanied by Amotekun security personnel. After assessing the situation, Folowosele attributed the cause of the accident to reckless driving by the Dangote truck driver.
Folowosele condemned the driver’s actions, stating that such irresponsible behavior would not be tolerated on the state’s roads. He assured that the authorities would take necessary action to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The injured passengers were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the police and other emergency services worked to clear the wreckage and restore normalcy to the area.
