Top APC chairmanship Aspirant withdraw from race
I humbly write to withdraw my intention to contest the Chairmanship seat of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, under the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the forthcoming local government election.
It’s over two years today, after I extensively interacted with family, friends, political associates, community leaders, Monarchs, religious leaders, and well meaning personalities. I joined the race for the Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA as a result of my passion and commitment to the cause of adding more value to the growth and development of my dear LCDA.
2.) I joined the race as a progressive democrat with open mind to contest the election with the sole aim of creating positive value in the community and with a positive mindset to accept the result of a process that I believe will be fair, credible, and transparent.
Going by the current arrangement by the party leadership, I made this sacrifice in the interest of peace and unity that our Party needs and requires at the local government, state and national level, respectively. Arriving at this decision is indeed a difficult one for me, taking into account the support, confidence, and loyalty I enjoyed from my teaming supporters.
4.) I humbly appeal to my friends, family, teeming supporters and the good people of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA to accept and honor my decision as being in the best interest of the party and with the promise that I will continue to be that selfless servant leader who attends to the needs of his followers at all times.
5.) I am extremely appreciative of my family, friends, and well wishers, particularly Chief Odofin Tajudeen Alade Onasanya, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola and members of her Think Tank, Rep. Babajimi Benson, Professor Abiodun Fatai-Abatan, Mr Marinho Bolaji in America, Mr Segun Isikalu in America, Mrs PAT Babafemi in London, Omo’ba Demola Olutusin, Pastor Adam in South Africa, Pastor Olaoye in Nigeria and the extraordinary hardworking men and women of our IreOtun campaign Team, who were prepared to stop at nothing to see me fly the flag of our party.
6.) Finally, as a loyal party member, I wish to pledge that I and my teaming supporters will support the Candidate of our dear Party and we’ll work to the best of our ability to see the success of our party. I therefore plead with our Party leaders to kindly consider my person for further opportunities in the nearest future.
Beyond my Chairmanship Aspiration, IreOtun will not elude Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA as the community will continue to enjoy my unwavering support and invaluable contribution always.
