THE TWO FORMER GOVERNORS OF NASARAWA STATE ATTENDED APC STAKEHOLDERS MEETING IN LAFIA:

The two former Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Senator Umar Tanko Al-Makura at Nasarawa state Government House lafia, in an APC stakeholders meeting brainstorm how to move the party 2024 LG election’s in the State.

The current governor Engr AA Sule, presided over the meeting at the Government House, Lafia, the state capital.

In his opening remarks, Sule explained that the main purpose of the meeting was for the party to brief the stakeholders on the state of affairs of the party and how to move the party 2024 LG elections in the State and put to rest the contentious issues in the party.

“Like everyone so far has said, it’s a family, and the family, from time to time, needs to brief itself about what is happening. Good or bad, we would be able to know what is happening in order for us to have a sense of direction.

That is why we are a family. There is no family that is trouble-free; there is no family that won’t have one kind of misunderstanding or the other. It’s normal to have those, and it’s normal to scale through once you are having these kinds of issues.”

The governor apologised to stakeholders who didn’t get invitations on time and could not attend, and appreciated all those who were able to attend the meeting, particularly the APC former national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and a former governor of the state, Senator Umar Tanko Al-Makura.

In his remark, Senator Umar Tanko Al-Makura appreciated the governor and the State APC officials.
For bringing them together in such a time to discuss the progress of the party.

Almakura said all hands most be on deck if the party really wants to win the LG elections.

Almakura also called on all the stakeholders of the party and Nigerians to continue to rally support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, adding that the President has not only initiated new projects, but almost completed most of the projects he inherited from the previous administration.

He also appealed for the cooperation and support of all party members to succeed as a government and the ruling party.

Almakura explained that the reforms put in place by President Tinubu is already yielding good returns for Nigerians.

Almakura said:
“While we are structuring our party into a truly grassroots progressive party, may I also appeal to our governors to support the state party leadership by ensuring that all the state Party offices at the ward, local government and state levels are fully functional . This will enable our members across the country to have symbolic representation in their neighborhood. It will also facilitate party activities to roll out all year round, without necessarily waiting till during campaigns or elections.
