The historic victory of Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa is unique and unprecedented in the history of elections in Ondo and in Nigeria at large.
However, the account of the actualization of O’datiwa O’dirorun political agenda will remain incomplete without acknowledging the exceptional roles and huge sacrifices of this democrat and technocrat who left his businesses abroad and devoted his time and committed his vast resources to the enthronement of democracy and good governance in Ondo State.
Remarkably, Prince Akinyomi Monday threw his weight behind Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa right from the time of his trial and political persecution. He was among the few fearless, resilient and courageous political supporters who moved and salvaged the deputy Governor then, who was later sworn in as the substantive Governor and eventually secured massive electoral victory.
It therefore becomes a doctrine of necessity to reward such quintessential democrat; as a matter of natural justice established in the natural law of sowing and reaping through relentless efforts in ensuring good governance and upholding democratic rule, justice, equity and fair political participation Ondo State.
