Aiyedatiwa set to swear in newly elected Local Govt Chairmen
The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, will swear in the newly-elected Local Government chairmen on Monday, February 17.
The swearing in ceremony would be taking place at the International Centre for Culture and Events, Igbatoro road, Akure.
According to the Governor’s itinerary signed by the Chief of Protocol, Abayomi Olasanya, the new 18 council chairmen will be inaugurated by 12 noon.
The 18 chairmen and 203 councillors were elected on January 18 in an election conducted by the Ondo State Independent Eiectoral Commission(ODIEC).
ODIEC had on January 20, presented certificates of return to the 18 chairmen and vice chairmen, while on January 22, the 203 councillors-elect received their certificates of return.
The rulling All Progressives Congress won all the 18 chairmanship seats and the 203 councillorship positions.
