Taye Currency Fires Back at Critics Amid Pasuma and Tiri leather UK Tour
Popular Fuji musician Alhaji Taye Akande Currency, also known as Baba Honourable, addressed his haters during a show in Ibadan yesterday.
The criticism began when Pasuma took Tiri Leather on his UK Tour 2025, prompting Tiri Leather fans to attack Taye Currency online. Some claimed Taye believed no other Fuji artist could succeed in Ibadan after him, but others argued that God had humbled him by elevating Pasuma.
Taye Currency responded to the criticism during his performance yesterday, saying:
“I know they can’t talk without mentioning my name because I have more grace than them all. If I stopped singing Fuji today, it would affect the entire industry because of my contributions.
If I speak out, it will cause chaos everywhere. I don’t have any ill intentions towards anyone, and I’m still at the top. My silence doesn’t mean I’m stupid, but I’m choosing not to respond because of my son’s political career. Don’t push me to the wall; let everyone focus on their own path.”
