A high-level meeting was held today at the headquarters of the National Agricultural Development Fund, Abuja, focusing on potential partnerships to drive agricultural development across the region.

The meeting was chaired by Hon. Dahiru Hammandikko (Dan Kade Adamawa), the Executive Director of Agricultural Services, Upper Benue River Basin Development Authority. Also in attendance was Alhaji Muhammad Abu Ibrahim, the Executive Secretary of the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADFUND), based at the Bank of Agriculture Building, Abuja.

The dialogue centered on collaborative strategies to enhance food security, expand irrigation infrastructure, and empower local farmers through innovative agricultural interventions. Both agencies expressed strong commitment to leveraging each other’s strengths and resources to promote sustainable development in the agricultural sector.

The partnership aims to strengthen regional productivity, support value chain development, and ensure efficient utilization of the vast agricultural potentials within the Upper Benue River Basin Development Authority Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe and Bauchi State.

This marks a promising step towards a renewed focus on agricultural transformation, in line with the Federal Government’s objectives for rural development and economic diversification.
