SSA on Student Affairs Congratulates Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Resounding Election Victory
Hon. Kevin Solomon Olaolu, the Senior Special Assistant on Student Affairs to the Governor of Ondo State has extended heartfelt congratulations to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa following his landslide victory in the recently concluded Ondo gubernatorial election. The Governor, who secured an emphatic win in all 18 Local Government Areas of the state with 366,781 votes, triumphed over his closest opponent from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 117,845 votes.
In a statement issued by the SSA, he described the victory as a testament to the unwavering trust and confidence the people of Ondo State have in Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership. He noted that the outcome of the election reflects the Governor’s commitment to the growth and development of the state, as well as the people’s recognition of his impactful governance over the years.
The SSA also expressed profound gratitude to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for his exemplary leadership and the fair play demonstrated during the election. He praised the President for ensuring that the electoral process was free of manipulation, allowing the people’s voices to be genuinely heard.
“The President’s commitment to upholding the principles of democracy is commendable and serves as a shining example for future elections in Nigeria,” he remarked.
Further commendation was given to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its efficient and transparent conduct of the election, particularly its early deployment of election materials, which contributed to the smooth and largely peaceful electoral process. The SSA also lauded the security agencies for their unwavering dedication to maintaining order and providing a secure environment for voters to exercise their democratic rights.
Special recognition was extended to the electorate for their integrity and resolve during the voting process. Despite challenges and attempts to sway decision, the people of Ondo State remained steadfast, casting their votes with conscience and reinforcing the democratic values that underpin the state’s political system.
The congratulatory message highlighted Governor Aiyedatiwa’s track record in delivering people-centered policies, from economic reforms to infrastructural development, education, and youth empowerment.
