Societal Concerns Team Led by Amb. Oluwayomi Oluwapelumi Visits AIG Olatoye Durosinmi Zone 2 Area Command

 

In a move to address rising security challenges, the Societal Concerns team, under the leadership of Ambassador Oluwayomi Oluwapelumi, paid a courtesy visit to the Assistant Inspector General of Police AIG Olatoye Durosinmi at the Zone 2 Area Command headquarters today.

 

 

 

 

 

During the visit, the team highlighted their ongoing initiative, the “Walk Against the Killing of Security Personnel,” aimed at raising awareness and curbing the alarming rate of violence against law enforcement officers. Ambassador Oluwapelumi emphasized the crucial role that security personnel play in maintaining societal order and the urgent need for collaborative efforts to ensure their protection.

 

The visit featured a comprehensive presentation on the initiatives and activities of the Societal Concerns organization. The team outlined their strategies and the impact of their advocacy work, stressing the importance of community involvement in safeguarding those who dedicate their lives to public safety.

 

 

 

 

 

As part of the engagement, Ambassador Oluwapelumi presented the AIG with the latest edition of the Societal Concerns magazine, which details the organization’s recent projects and successes. Additionally, a souvenir was handed over as a token of appreciation for

 

AIG’s continuous support and collaboration with societal initiatives.

 

AIG Durosinmi commended the Societal Concerns team for their proactive approach and dedication to the cause. He reiterated the police force’s commitment to working closely with community organizations to enhance security measures and ensure a safer environment for all.

 

“We appreciate the efforts of the Societal Concerns team in bringing these critical issues to the forefront. The safety of our officers is paramount, and such initiatives play a vital role in fostering a culture of respect and protection for those who serve,” AIG Durosinmi stated.

 

 

 

The “Walk Against the Killing of Security Personnel” initiative is set to include a series of awareness campaigns, community outreach programs across states, and collaborations with various stakeholders to ensure its objectives are met effectively.
