SENATE CONFIRMS DR. JIDE MARTINS ADEWINLE AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH WEST DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION.

The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has officially confirmed the appointment of Dr. Jide Martins Adewinle as a member of the South West Development Commission (SWDC), representing Ondo State, alongside other distinguished nominees from the region.

Dr. Jide Martins Adewinle is a seasoned finance expert, entrepreneur, and development advocate. A native of Ode-Aye in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State, he holds advanced degrees in accounting, finance, and business administration, and is a fellow of several professional institutions. He is well respected for his contributions to youth empowerment, economic development, and regional integration efforts.

This confirmation marks a significant step forward in the activation of the South West Development Commission—an institution established to drive strategic development and coordinated planning across the six states of the South West geopolitical zone.

The Commission is expected to focus on infrastructure, industrial growth, education, youth empowerment, and inclusive economic development. With this confirmation, expectations are high that the newly appointed members will bring vision, expertise, and renewed energy to address regional development priorities.

Citizens and stakeholders across Ondo State and the broader South West have expressed optimism that this team will work in unity and purpose to deliver on the Commission’s mandate for the benefit of all.
