S.A. on Inter-Party Affairs Announce the defection of two PDP lawmakers into the APC in Ondo State.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State joyfully welcomes two vibrant and distinguished lawmakers of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Felix Afe (Akoko North-West Constituency II) and Hon. Tope Agbulu (Akoko South-West Constituency II) who, on August 26th, 2025, officially announced their defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the ever-growing and victorious fold of the APC.
Their decision, formally communicated through letters read by the Clerk of the House, Barrister Jaiyeola Benjamin, during plenary presided over by Speaker Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, further cements the dominance of the APC in the Ondo State legislature—raising our strength to an overwhelming 24 out of 26 members.
This momentous development is not just a gain for the APC, but a loud testament to the visionary leadership and political sagacity of our Governor and Leader, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa whose commitment to inclusive governance, unity, and development continues to inspire confidence across party lines.
I heartily congratulate His Excellency, our Governor and the undisputed Leader of the APC in Ondo State, for once again demonstrating that under his leadership, the APC is the natural home for progressive-minded leaders. This defection is a clear sign that the APC remains the party of choice, the party of the people, and the unstoppable winning team in Ondo State.
We celebrate Hon. Felix Afe and Hon. Tope Agbulu for their bold and patriotic decision to join hands with the APC in advancing the collective aspirations of our people. They are assured of full acceptance and support as they contribute their wealth of experience to the progressive mission of our great party.
