Rep Hails Tinubu for Lifting Fuel Sales Ban in Border Communities
Rep. Gboyega Isiaka has commended President Bola Tinubu for lifting the six-year ban on petrol sales within 20km of Nigeria’s border with Benin Republic, restoring operations at five filling stations in Imeko, Ilara, Oja Odan, and Ihunbe.
Isiaka credited sustained advocacy, including House debates and oversight visits, for the policy reversal, describing it as a relief to residents facing economic hardship. He urged residents to abide by regulations as efforts continue toward full border reopening.
