Provide For The Needy, Show Love to the poor, Betta Edu Admonishes Nigerians At Christmas
As you celebrate this year’s Christmas, I urge all Nigerians to use the opportunity of the season to reaffirm love and compassion towards one another and also reflect on the importance of the birth of Jesus Christ and the significance of it’s redemption.
Christmas is a season to reignite the flame of love as exemplified in Jesus Christ. Let us reach out to family and friends as well as the vulnerables and others in need in our midst.
As we celebrate, it is pertinent that as Nigerians, we rededicate ourselves to the values of love, peace, sacrifice, and tolerance as necessary ingredients for a peaceful coexistence .
I call on all Nigerians especially lovers of christian faith to at all times recognize that Christmas underpins the redemptive role of Jesus Christ to mankind, just as it stresses the pivotal place of sacrifice, necessary for a peaceful and harmonious world.
Christmas is the birthday of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, let the humanity in us, therefore, prevail just as we must also remind ourselves that love is the first requirement for a better and peaceful world.
Merry Christmas and have prosperous celebrations. May the souls of all those who lost their lives in the stampedes across the nation rest in peace. To the families who have lost their loved ones in this season, may they find healing from their grief,Amen.
Let us keep faith in our nation. 2025 will be a year of restoration!!!
