The Jegun of Idepe Okitipupa, HRM Oba Adetoye Michael Obatuga, has commended the Ondo State Government for its proactive measures in the health sector, particularly its efforts to combat malaria. The monarch expressed his appreciation during a courtesy visit from the Governor’s Special Adviser on Health, Professor Simidele Odimayo, on Saturday.
Professor Odimayo’s visit to the palace while inspecting the various local governments in the Ondo South senatorial district, was part of an awareness campaign for the ongoing distribution of insecticide-treated mosquito nets across local communities, an initiative managed by the Malaria Consortium.

He emphasized that the program is designed to significantly lower malaria transmission, fostering a healthier and more productive populace.
The Special Adviser also reaffirmed the state government’s unwavering commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery, especially at the grassroots level.
In his response, Oba Obatuga conveyed his gratitude for the visit and praised the government’s dedication. “We are grateful for your visit and the thoughtful efforts being made by the state government in Ondo state,” the royal father remarked, acknowledging Professor Odimayo’s commitment to the well-being of the people.
