Press Statement from Hon. Aminu Suleiman, Board Member, NWDC
As the blessed month of Ramadan begins, I would like to extend my heartfelt greetings to the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and around the world. This is a time for deep reflection, spiritual growth, and increased devotion to our faith. Ramadan is not just a period of fasting, but a time for Muslims to reconnect with their Creator, cleanse their hearts, and renew their commitment to the values of empathy, charity, and self-discipline.
I urge all Muslims, especially here in Nigeria, to steadfastly dedicate themselves to the essence of fasting—showing patience, humility, and kindness, while maintaining a deep sense of gratitude and compassion for others. This sacred month presents an opportunity to strengthen our faith, improve our personal conduct, and contribute to the well-being of our families and communities.
May this Ramadan bring peace, joy, and prosperity to your lives, and may all the rituals and prayers of the season contribute to the betterment of your individual lives, your families, and our great nation.
I pray that this holy month grants us all the strength to continue striving towards goodness and strengthens the bond of unity among all of us.
Ramadan Mubarak!
Sincerely,
Hon. Aminu Suleiman
