PRESIDENT TINUBU’S RENEWED HOPE AGRICULTURAL MECHANIZATION PROGRAMME: YOBE STATE SET TO BENEFIT
Abuja, Nigeria – In a bid to boost agricultural productivity and empower farmers, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has launched the Renewed Hope Agricultural Mechanization Programme. The programme, which includes the commissioning of 2000 tractors and various agricultural equipment, aims to transform the agricultural sector in Nigeria.
As part of the programme, the following equipment were commissioned:
– 2000 tractors
– 9,072 implements
– 500 80HP tractors (2-wheel drive)
– 500 80HP tractors (4-wheel drive)
– 500 90HP tractors (2-wheel drive)
– 500 90HP tractors (4-wheel drive)
– 58 Disc Ploughs
– 330 Disc Harrows
– 174 Disc Ridgers
– 294 Tractor Trailers
– 84 Seed Drills
– 64 800 L Boom Sprayers
– 10 Combine Harvesters
– 2533 Sets of Spare Parts
In a move to ensure that women and youths of Yobe State benefit from the programme, the Senior Liaison Officer to His Excellency the Executive Governor of Yobe State on Grassroots Mobilization, Honourable Alhaji Madu Kachallah Nguru, paid a working visit to the office of the Senior Assistant to the President on Agriculture, Hon. Abiodun Yinusa Haruna.
The Personal Assistant to the SAP welcomed the SLO and assured him of collaboration with the Yobe State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni CON, to ensure the successful implementation of the programme in the state.
The Renewed Hope Agricultural Mechanization Programme is a testament to President Tinubu’s commitment to transforming Nigeria’s agricultural sector and improving the lives of farmers and rural communities.
