Akure City and Ondo Town have been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of popular socialite and businessman, Mr. Kunle Adeya, fondly called Omo Alhaja.
Adeya, who was the owner of the widely known recreational and entertainment hubs, Bola Komo in Akure and Ondo town, reportedly passed away on Wednesday evening at Hope Hospital, behind Bayduk Fuel Station, Ojuelegba, Akure, during a brief illness.
A successful automobile dealer and widely traveled entrepreneur, Adeya built a reputation for himself as one of the leading figures in the entertainment scene of Ondo State.
He established the Bola Komo hubs in the name of his wife, Mrs. Bola Komolafe, creating leisure spaces that became household names in the state’s social circles.
His death has left a vacuum among friends, business associates, and patrons of his establishments, many of whom described him as a lively man who loved to bring people together through his ventures.
Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in the coming days.
