Police Uncover Gruesome Plot by Landlord to Kidn¶p, R¶pe, and Murd£r Two university Students
heartbreaking and deeply disturbing revelation, the Ondo State Police Command has confirmed that the landlord of two missing students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) masterminded their abduction, sexual assault, and eventual murder.
The victims—25-year-old Abah John Friday and 19-year-old Okah Andrel Eloho—were declared missing on June 20, 2025. Their disappearance sparked public concern and triggered a formal complaint from their family’s legal representatives, G.O. Omoedu & Co., to the police on June 24.
A Tech Trail Leads to the Truth
Detectives from the Anti-Kidnapping Unit swung into action using forensic tracking. Their investigation took them to Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos, where they recovered an iPhone 14 Pro Max belonging to one of the victims. The phone was traced to Abdul Mohammed Mubarak (38), who revealed he had purchased it from a man named Ojo Michael.
Michael, arrested in Aramoko-Ekiti, was found with the victims’ Lexus RX 350. During questioning, he confessed to a horrific sequence of events.
A Calculated Betrayal
Michael disclosed that he, along with accomplices, had kidnapped the students on the instructions of Oladele Femi, the landlord of Abah John. According to his confession, during their captivity, the criminals transferred ₦800,000 from the victims’ account. He also admitted to raping the female student, Okah Eloho, and later executing both victims when she recognized him.
Their bodies were dumped in remote locations: the female victim’s corpse was recovered in a bush near Ode-Ekiti, while efforts to recover Abah John’s body—believed to have been dumped in a river—are still underway.
Landlord Confesses
Oladele Femi, now in police custody, has confessed to orchestrating the entire plot. His betrayal has sent shockwaves through the Akungba student community and beyond.
Police Vow Justice
During a press briefing, the Commissioner of Police described the case as one of the most horrifying in recent history, emphasizing that justice will be served and all those involved will face the full weight of the law.
The Ondo State Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring safety across the state and urges the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
