Police PPRO d!es after prolonged Iilness

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Taraba State Police Command, Superintendent of Police, Abdulahi Usman, has passed away after a prolonged illness.

The Force Public Relations Department confirmed his death in a statement on Wednesday, describing his passing as a heartbreaking loss.

Usman, who served as the spokesperson for the command for three years, died in the early hours of Sunday, March 23, 2025.

The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in the statement, expressed deep sorrow over the loss, noting that Usman was not just a police officer but a bridge between the force and the public.

“For three years, he dedicated himself to fostering trust, ensuring transparency, and building a relationship of mutual respect between the police and the public in Taraba State. His warm personality, professionalism, and relentless pursuit of justice were qualities worth emulating,” Adejobi said.

He described Usman’s death as a profound loss to the Force Public Relations Department, the Taraba State Command, and all who had the privilege of working with him.

“His colleagues remember him as a man of honor, duty, and compassion—a true public servant whose impact will be felt for years to come,” he added.

Adejobi also extended condolences to the officers and men of the Taraba State Police Command, as well as Usman’s family and loved ones.

The statement further noted that the Force Public Relations Department stands in solidarity with his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time and offered prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul
