Pilot, Passenger Miraculously Escape As Aircraft Crashes Into Busy Road In England

The Telegraph reports that photos depict a stunned pilot and passenger seated in the cockpit after a crash landing. One wing of the aircraft is missing, and debris is scattered across the road.
Other images reveal members of the public gathering around the aircraft to check on those onboard.
A spokesman for the Cotswold Gliding Club confirmed that two of its members were involved in the incident.
Chris Cooper told The Telegraph that the Air Accidents Investigations Branch was examining the crash. He stated: “Two Cotswold Gliding Club members were taken to the hospital with minor injuries for evaluation after an incident involving one of the club’s motorized gliders.
“The Air Accident Investigation Branch is now involved, so we cannot provide further details at this time. We are working to obtain more information about the survivors’ conditions.”
The gliding club, one of the largest in the UK with about 150 members, is known for its extensive operations.
Emergency services responded to the incident, with the Great Western Air Ambulance among those dispatched.
An eyewitness described the scene to Gloucestershire Live, noting that the aircraft appeared to have “stalled and nose-dived onto the main road.”
Gloucestershire Constabulary advised motorists that road closures are in effect while emergency services are present.
They confirmed that only the two occupants were on board and that no other vehicles were involved.
