Ilaje Youth Progressive Intellectual (IYPI) Begins Voter’s Education to Increase Rights Participation Choose in Governorship Elections Nov.16, 2014.
The purpose of this excercise was to find out the knowledge of political education for young and old voters in order to increase the participation of voters in Governorship elections in Ondo State.
That they are directly involved in understanding the importance of concepts theoretically as well as applied to democracy and political representation. In addition, for young voters and old to understand what elections are, why do they need to take part in elections and how procedures for using voting rights in elections.
After voters understand the various issues of elections, it is expected that voters become smart voters, namely voters who are aware of using their voting rights and can choose quality leaders to improve the future of the Nation and State.
The results of this exercise indicate that voter’s education is able to increase knowledge about the value of democracy, improve the quality of the electoral process, increase participation of young and old voters
Voter’s education for young and old is very necessary in order to provide clear information about what is stated in the function elections and use of voting rights.
Voter’s education is about the function of elections and voting rights for young and old voters must be made both verbally and in writing, this is a solution offered to voters by Ilaje Youth Progressive Intellectual National body.
