NYSC Confirms Authenticity of Top Tinubu’s minister Certificate
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has confirmed that the Certificate of National Service held by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, is genuine.
According to the organisation, Mr Tunji-Ojo was initially mobilised for service in 2006 but did not complete the programme at the time. He later resurfaced in 2018, was remobilised in 2019, and subsequently deployed to the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Garki, Abuja, for his primary assignment.
The NYSC further clarified that Mr Tunji-Ojo’s certificate was not among those printed when his batch completed service in 2020 due to a technical omission.
During the passing-out exercise, his Certificate of National Service was not available because it was omitted from the Certificate Printing Application,” the statement explained.
The Corps added that Mr Tunji-Ojo later applied for the document through the FCT State Coordinator on 18 October 2022. The request was processed at the NYSC headquarters, and his Certificate of National Service (No. A004523631) was duly issued on 28 February 2023.
