Not paying tithe will take you to heaven in Lazarus style” – Pastor Miracle
In a sermon that has stirred debate within his congregation and online, Nigerian senior pastor, U.O Miracle, shared some thought-provoking principles about paying tithe and its significance in the Christian faith.
Addressing his church members, Pastor Miracle emphasized that while failing to pay tithes would not prevent them from entering heaven, it would affect their heavenly status and earthly wealth.

In his sermon, Pastor Miracle assured his congregation that non-tithers would still reach heaven but described their spiritual journey as one of poverty and discomfort.
Using the biblical story of Lazarus, the poor man who went to heaven, he suggested that while Lazarus made it to the afterlife, he did so “with his dirty body” and without a privileged position.
“If you don’t pay your tithe, you will go to heaven but in a Lazarus style. You’ll be very poor in this world but you will go to heaven. If you’re a tither, you will go in Abraham’s pattern. Lazarus went to heaven as a poor man with his body already eaten by worms, and had sore on his body,” he said partly.
