Nigerian Police Begin Nationwide Data Compilation Of Officers For National Housing Fund Payment Schedule
A wireless message exclusively obtained by SaharaReporters on Friday shows the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of the Makurdi Police Command issued the directive to police commands nationwide, requesting a wide range of personal and financial information of all police officers for the purpose of updating the National Housing Fund (NHF) individual contribution payment schedule.
The Nigeria Police Force has ordered all its formations and units across the country to urgently compile and submit sensitive personal data of its personnel for onward transmission to the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), SaharaReporters has learned.
A wireless message exclusively obtained by SaharaReporters on Friday shows the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of the Makurdi Police Command issued the directive to police commands nationwide, requesting a wide range of personal and financial information of all police officers for the purpose of updating the National Housing Fund (NHF) individual contribution payment schedule.
The wireless message, marked IMMEDIATE, and addressed to multiple formations including “AIGZON 1-17, COMPOL DFA ALL STATES, PAYMECH ALL STATES, STAFFPOL JOS, POLAC KANO, SQUADRON COMMANDER ALL STATES, DEPPOL KADUNA/MAIDUGURI/ORJI RIVER/IKEJA” and others, directed the urgent collation and submission of detailed personnel data.
The police wireless signal reads: “CV:9005/BNS/BNS /CFO/VO.2/ 333 X National Housing Fund X Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) bio data of Nigeria Police Force (NPF) personnel individual National Housing Fund (NHF) schedule of payment into electronic banking (E-banking) X following the message received from NIGPOL DFA FHQ ABUJA.”
The wireless message required police personnel to submit a spreadsheet containing a lengthy list of personal and service details for each officer.
The spreadsheet must contain the following information: NHF Participation Number (National Housing Fund ID), IPPIS Number, Service Number, Rank, Full Name, Command, Date of Employment, and Date of Birth.
The wireless message also requested GSM number, email address, bank name, account number, BVN (Bank Verification Number), and NIN (National Identification Number).
“NHF participation no X IPPIS no X Service no X Rank X Names X Command/Formation MSS X TITLE (MR/MRS/MISS) X Date of employment X Date of birth X GSM no X email address X bank name X account no X BVN X NIN X marital status X NOK name X NOK phone number X in Microsoft Excel format,” the message said.
The police authority stressed that this was necessary to facilitate: “Trouble-free/easy withdrawal of their NHF refunds X online application to FMBN special loans products (NHF loan/home renovation loan/ rent to own loan/ construction loan).”
Officers were instructed to verify all entries thoroughly to prevent any discrepancies and were urged to handle the matter with utmost urgency.
“Admin yours should carefully verify all information X that will be forwarded and ensure there are no mistakes,” it said.
Submissions must be sent through the designated email address or WhatsApp numbers no later than Tuesday, June 27, 2025.
