Nigerian Pastor b£aten to stup0r by church members over payment for failed promised miracles
A Nigerian pastor, Adebayo Okechi, was reportedly beaten by angry church members in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, after they accused him of scamming them. The members claimed they were told to pay R15,000 each for a private, one-on-one prayer session with the pastor.
According to the members, Pastor Okechi promised them “miracle money,” job breakthroughs, and major life changes if they paid the amount and prayed with him. Many of them say they were desperate and believed in the pastor’s words.
However, after paying the money and attending the private prayer sessions, nothing happened. The members said they waited for weeks and months but saw no improvement in their lives. Feeling cheated and frustrated, a group of them confronted the pastor and ended up beating him during a heated argument.
Police were called to the scene and arrested 12 members involved in the assault. All of them have since been released on bail. Authorities have confirmed that investigations are still ongoing to determine what really happened and whether fraud was committed.
