NGURU COMMUNITY LAUDS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SUPPORT FOR AFFORESTATION PROJECT
The Senior Liaison Officer to His Excellency the Executive Governor of Yobe State on Grassroots Mobilization, Honourable Alhaji Madu Kachallah Nguru, has commended the federal government for its support towards the Afforestation project in Nguru and Karasuwa LGAs.
The project, aimed at combating the adverse effects of climate change, was initiated by the National Agency for Great Green World (NAGGW) under the leadership of its Director-General, Alh. Sale Abubakar MFR.
Honourable Alhaji Madu Kachallah Nguru, during an appreciation visit to the National Agency for Great Green World Headquarters, in Abuja, expressed his gratitude to the federal government for approving the proposal submitted by His Royal Highness Alh Mustapha Ibn Mai Kyari, the Amir of Nguru.
The Senior Liaison Officer also praised Abba Liman Nguru for his role in facilitating the collaboration between Nguru Emirate and NAGGW, describing him as a “true son of the soil.”
The Afforestation project, it aims to plant fifty thousands (50,000) of trees in Nguru, helping to mitigate the effects of climate change and improve the environment.
The project has been hailed as a significant step towards promoting sustainable development and environmental conservation in Yobe State.
Honourable Alhaji Madu Kachallah Nguru assured the community that the Federal government would continue to support initiatives that promote the well-being and development of the people.
