Mobile Court Convicts 34 for Attempting to Bribe FRSC Officials

A mobile court in Calabar has convicted 34 motorists for attempting to bribe Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officers. Magistrate Abigail Asuquo sentenced them to one week in prison or a N10,000 fine each. Additional fines were issued for offenses like overloading and seat belt violations.

FRSC Sector Commander Innocent Etuk condemned bribery attempts, warning that offenders would face prosecution. He urged motorists to obey traffic rules, stressing the Corps’ zero tolerance for corruption
