Man, Chukwuka Nwosu Commits Su!cide By Hang!ng After Parking Car By The Roadside In Abia

Residents of the University community in Umudike were thrown into shock on Thursday following the discovery of a man, identified as Chukwuka Nwosu, hanging lifeless from a tree in what is believed to be a case of suicide.

Chukwuka, a graduate and indigene of Itaja Obuohia in Olokoro, Umuahia South Local Government Area, was found dead near a residential building along the road. According to eyewitnesses, the deceased had parked his Toyota Corolla car close to the scene before allegedly taking his life.

The unsettling sight drew the attention of residents and passersby, many of whom expressed disbelief over the incident. Locals familiar with the victim described him as coming from a comfortable background and noted that he had shown no visible signs of distress or struggle prior to the tragic act.

The incident has sparked calls for a deeper investigation into the circumstances surrounding Chukwuka’s death. “It’s hard to believe,” one resident remarked. “He didn’t appear troubled, and no one saw this coming.”

Sources within Olokoro community confirmed to Newsmen that police officers visited the scene and conducted a preliminary assessment. Additionally, traditional rites were reportedly carried out before the body was removed and deposited in a mortuary.

As of the time of filing this report, neither the Abia State Police Command nor government authorities had issued an official statement regarding the case.

The tragic event has left the Umudike community reeling, with many urging mental health awareness and closer attention to emotional well-being, especially among young people.
