– _Hon Esan Owolabi appeal to newly sworn in councilors_
The Executive Chairman of Akoko Northwest Local Government Area of Ondo state, Hon Esan Abiodun Owolabi JP and his deputy, Mrs.Eunice Bello has sworn in the ten newly elected Councillors in his local government, congratulating them all on their victories at their various wards. He described them as mandate of their Ward’s people.
Honourable Chairman urged them to imbibe the spirit of inclusion and guided by their office ethics.
The inaugural program held at the Moshood Abiola Muiltpurpose Hall in the council premises, today Wednesday 26 of February, 2025 marked as the beginning of a new era towards dividends of democracy for the people.
He was quoted as saying, “this is a new era that is mainly focus on the enacting sustainable policy in delivery the dividends of this mandate to the good people of Akoko Northwest .The old practices has gone into extinction. We are now operating under a new purposeful government in Ondo State that believes fervently in great transformation and peaceful coexistence of the people that is purely devoid of negativity and retrogression
Hon Esan Owolabi assured his people.
The people of Akoko Northwest will witness a great change as they moved on under our leadership in this local government, and of course, consolidating with the state government under our lucky governor, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa team.
In his speech of assurance of renewed Hope Agenda at the occasion, Hon. Esan Owolabi also assured his people that they should expect meaningful and purposeful leadership that has passion for them.
As I am assuring my good people that, in few months to now, Akoko Northwest will become a haven of transformation, development, peace and tranquility.
He pleaded with the councillors to work together in unity because it is through unity that we can achieve bountiful progress.
He unveiled that the idealist perspective of all will be highly required in moving the local government forward.
He was elated for the newly sworn in councilors, describing them all as the lucky ones.
The Chairman also advised them to cooperate with the government in the local level and ensure they delivered the people’s mandate given to them to their various wards and its people.
The local government leaders who graced the occasion are; Hon. Fatai Atere, Honourable Member representing Akoko Northwest Constituency 1 in the state house of assembly, Otunba Calistus Afe, Alhaji Oloruntoba, Hon. Adetilewa Fafunlade, the local government party chairman, Hon. Kehinde Obanla, Hon. Jackson among others.
Other leaders include; ward party chairmen and their excos, party faithful members and well wishers.
The royal father who was in attendance are: Oba Folorunsho Gboyega Arasanyin, Arole Agba 1, Ajana of Afa in Okeagbe Akoko.
Also, the introduction of the newly sworn in councilors was carried out at the program.
Similarly, the inaugural program was also witnessed by the information unit of the local government, media press, and the clerk of the house in the council.
Meanwhile, the principal positions of the house including the secretary to the local government, SA to the chairman and Chief of staff was also inaugurated at the event.
