Late skit maker Sanku’s mother breaks silence on money r!tual rumours
The mother of late skit maker, Raji Samad Adetola, popularly known as Sanku Comedy, has denied claims linking her son’s death to money rituals
Tribune Online reports that the fast-rising comedian died on Monday in a ghastly car accident along the Oyo-Ogbomoso expressway in Ibadan.
Following his death, social media was flooded with rumours alleging that the young entertainer was involved in ritual practices.
However, in a now-viral video, his mother insisted that her son was a devout Muslim who never engaged in any fetish practice.
“Many Alfas gave him several soaps to be using, but he asked me to only keep praying for him and that I shouldn’t do anything spiritual on his behalf. He said my prayers have been helping him,” she said.
“Before he died, he said I should come and stay with him and rest at his place before I start working again. It hasn’t even been up to one month. Sanku was a good child.
“He told me to not worry about anything and that I will reap the fruits of my labour. He promised me that he and his siblings will become great people. He really tried his best. He used to help me to hawk peppers before he asked me to allow him face comedy.
“My son did not do money rituals. I heard what people are saying. But my son is not like that. He would always tell me to focus on prayer. He did not go to any herbalist. He is a devoted Muslim and was always praying to God.”
