JUST IN: Gövernor Fubara Speaks On His Relationship With Rivers Assembly Members
His Excellency Siminalayi Fubara, Governor of Rivers State, has highlighted the improved relations between his government and the Rivers State House of Assembly, under Speaker Amaewhule, while overseeing the construction of the Assembly’s new building.
Speaking in a video briefing aired on Symfoni TV, Governor Fubara expressed satisfaction with the pace of the project and emphasized his dedication to creating an enabling environment for legislators to carry out their work effectively.
On the previously strained relationship between the executive and legislature, he said that peace and cooperation have now returned. “You know the drama that surrounded our relationship before, but by the special grace of God, everything has now been sorted out,” he stated.
He added that lawmakers have been operating from a temporary facility due to the old complex’s poor condition and assured that the new chambers will be completed efficiently. “We are working seriously to ensure that the Assembly returns to their permanent complex soon,” Fubara concluded.
