Ivo Okada Union get new chairman, members pledges to rally supports for APC Senatorial candidate ahead of bye-Election
Delving on the course to maintaining peace and serene environment embraced as the fulcrum of this administration, the workaholic Chairman of Ivo local government council, Hon. Chief Ajah Emmanuel Ogbonna (Confirm) has on 27th January, 2024 conducted Ivo Okada Riders Union general election and handled the situational report revolving in the Union.
The election was conducted in sequence of two representatives from the different zone comprising Ivo zone, Echiele Zone, Adaivo Zone and Akaeze Zone. The election which was fairly conducted among the Okada members, had Comr. Essen Ifeanyi Joshua as the Chairman of Ivo Okada Riders Union and its working executives.
The Council Chairman together with other Stalkholders and men of security personnel’s noted with dismay the rampaging theft of motorcycles and unauthorised okada operations in late hours which has stirred depth concerns of security negligence. The Okada Riders executives in swift reaction, noted of the challenges brought before them and in response, they said, those causing this issues in the line are external bodies impersonating to be Okada Riders, many of them are not coming to Okada Park because they are not a registered member.

To effectively harness the conditions of Okada Riders movement and help security agencies in keeping touch with Security network, the following few salient resolutions was reached to implement for Okada Riders Union:
1. Closing time for Okada operations in ivo LGA is 8pm dot. I.e 6am to 8pm
2. All members of Okada Riders must be registered
3. All members of Okada must wear Aprons tagging bearer registration Number on it
4. Non Registered Okada Riders or intruders will have their motorcycles impounded.
5. Okada Riders should trend on “See something Say Something” philosophy and call security personnel’s for immediate response to situations.
6. Any park motorcycles at brothels after 8pm shall be impounded.
In unionism, the ivo Okada Riders Union vowed to replicate their kind gesture to APC candidate at poll again, in the forthcoming bye elections of Ebonyi South Senatorial district. Noting that they have voted for APC at the last election and shall vote massively for Prof. Anthony Ani as the choice of the people in the bye-election coming forth on February, 3rd 2024.“We have done it before, We shall do it more better again”.
