IRUN TIMBER ASSOCIATION HAILS CHAIRMAN OWOLABI’S UNCOMMON LEADERSHIP
*Pledges Support for APC and Tinubu Continuity 2027 – Presents Excellent Leadership Award*
The Irun Timber Association, led by its President, Comrade Ogunleye Ilesanmi, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Akoko Northwest Local Government, Ondo State, Hon. Model Esan Owolabi JP, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. During the visit, the association commended Chairman Owolabi for his exceptional leadership style, describing him as a performing leader whose achievements stand out in the council’s history.
The association’s secretary, Comrade Fagunwa Oluwaseun Solomon, explained that their visit aimed to introduce themselves, congratulate the Chairman, and declare their support for the APC and the Tinubu Continuity 2027 agenda. He noted that the association had observed the Chairman’s performance and was impressed with the developmental projects undertaken for residents’ benefit.
The association pledged to contribute to local development by paying taxes regularly, boosting the council’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR). Comrade Ogunleye Ilesanmi praised Chairman Owolabi as an “unusual leader” and commended the ongoing construction of the Ubalo Bridge in Irun. The group offered prayers for the Chairman’s continued success, as well as for Hon. BTO, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
In response, Chairman Owolabi expressed gratitude for the visit, reaffirming his commitment to impactful governance. He promised to ensure all residents enjoy the dividends of democracy and urged the association to spread the message of the APC’s good works. He assured them of his willingness to address their challenges.
The visit concluded with the presentation of an Excellent Leadership Award to Chairman Owolabi, recognizing his outstanding service. A group photograph was taken to commemorate the occasion.
