Imo Youths Pass’s Vote of Confidence on Governor Hope Uzodimma and Hon. Eric Uwakwe (SA to Governor, Youths affairs).
Rising in a well attended meeting of the State youths stakeholders meeting held at the conference hall of the Youths house Owerri, The section heads, Council of elders, party representatives, Hausa and Yoruba youth leaders in Imo and other Youths friendly individuals had an extensive discussions bothering on the polity and how the youths has fared so far.
During the discussion, the youths frowned at how the youths are being treated by some individuals in the state and how they only remember the usefulness of the youths only for their selfish reasons and interested with a direct interest on the actions and inhuman activities of the Imo state Representative at NDDC, Hon. Kyrian Uchegbu.
The Youths frowned at how he has diverted and misappropriated the federal government largesse meant for Imo youths through NNDC. After all the deliberations, The youths beckoned on the governor to save their soul by instructing the Rep to remit what is due for the youths and further gave Hon. Uchegbu 72 hours to do the needful or be blamed on whatever actions they will take.
The youths also thanked the Governor for all his youth friendly policies that has given the youths high level sense of belonging. They were filled with joy because the youths have not had it this way in recent times. The stakeholders also frowned at some disgruntled youths who has allowed their selves to be a willing tool in the hands of selfish politicians in their quest to subjugate the youths. They made it clear that henceforth those found Coppable will not go scot-free as Imo needs peace for the development strides of the state government to thrive.
They also frowned at the divisive move of some southeast politicians who rode on the back of Southeast governor general, Sen. Hope Uzodimma to stardom and turned back to make moves capable of truncating peace and oneness thriving in the political atmosphere of the East. The youths of Imo condemned in strong terms the formation of an alien youth body with a funny numenclature “Southeast YOUTHS STAKEHOLDERS FORUM” and distanced herself from such divisive machinations and warned Imo youths to avoid such groups with no clear objectives.
The highlights of the meeting was an issuance of communique containing all the decisions made and deliberations made at the meeting which was made available to the press.
