Ikazoboh replaces Dangote as Chairman of Cement Company
Emmanuel Ikazoboh has been announced as the replacement for Aliko Dangote as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Dangote Cement Company.
The spokesman of Dangote Industries, Anthony, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
This comes as Aliko Dangote, the president of Dangote Group, resigned from the cement company effective from July 25th, 2025.
In his acceptance speech, Ikazoboh pledged to uphold the highest standards of leadership and dedication in this role at Dangote Cement.
The 52.0 Mineral Trioxide Aggregate company, with the highest revenue of N2.07 trillion as of June 2025, also announced Hajiya Mariya Aliko Dangote to the Board of Directors.
The board of Dangote Cement has, therefore, announced the appointment of an independent non-executive director, Emmanuel Ikazoboh, as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Things to know about Ikazoboh
Emmanuel Ikazoboh was previously the Group Chairman of Ecobank Transnational Inc., the Pan-African banking group. He started his professional career at Akintola Williams Deloitte.
The company stated that he first became the managing partner for francophone offices in Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire and later became the managing partner of the Deloitte firm in West and Central Africa until 2009. In 2010, he was appointed by the Securities and Exchange Commission as an interim administrator to carry out capital market reforms of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and the Central Securities Clearing System Plc.
