IKALE NORTH LCDA LEADERSHIP MEETS WITH TRANSPORT UNION WORKERS

Today, the leadership of Ikale North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), led by the vice Chairman, Hon. Owonola Abiodun Emmanuel, alongside the Secretary, Hon. Kowe Odunayo Amos, and Hon. Zaka, held a productive meeting with representatives of the Ikale North Drivers Union and Okada Riders Union. The union representatives included Mr Eregare Richard (Chairman drivers union Igbotako) Mr. Segun (General Chairman, Okada Igbotako), Mr. Samuel (Secretary, Okada Union), and other members.

During the meeting, Mr. Samuel emphasized the need for alternative routes on market days to alleviate road congestion and avoid heavy traffic, especially during market days. Additionally, a member of the drivers union highlighted the need for government empowerment for the union

The vice chairman Hon. Owonola Abiodun Emmanuel stressed the importance of safe driving practices and urged the unions to avoid any action that could truncate the safety of the road users. He assured the unions that the LCDA would ensure they receive their due benefits and entitlements from the government and that all their complaints would be duly noted and addressed.

In conclusion, the meeting marks a significant step towards fostering a collaborative relationship between the LCDA leadership and the transport unions, aimed at promoting development and improving the lives of citizens in Ikale North LCDA.
