I Did Not Set My Husband Ablaz£, It Was A ‘Deliberate’ Acc!dent— Woman, Accused Of Setting Her Husband Ablaz£ To D£ath, Says Her Own Side Of The Story
In a recorded audio conversation, the young woman accused of setting her husband, LT. Samson ablaze to death, whom she just married barely five months ago, narrated her own side of the story, refuting the purported claim trending on the cyberspace that she set her husband ablaze to death, as thus:
“On the 22nd of September, he came and drove me off from work. His elder brother came and asked him to pack his things from the room and leave the room…and frustrate me. So that when am frustrated, I would leave the room. So he bought a new mattress and then, he packed to the another room to the store. The store had fuel and other things. So, while he was packing, he later hit the fuel; when he hit the fuel, the fuel splashed in the house.
So, he has been beating me on so many ocassions that I even had miscarriage. So, he was threatening me with liter that he was going to set me ablaze if my parrents did not come and take me away. So, immediately he said he was going to set me ablaze…even in the hospital my husband was begging they should allow his wife to come and see him, and that I should forgive him. He knew he lied, having given the soldiers a wrong narration of what happened.
“I did not do anything to him; it was an accident, but he was drawing attention to the barrack…they prolonged the case. They locked me up and no access to my phone for several days. He even asked them, why were they locking me up, that I did not do anything wrong to him.He told them to stop the case even, but they(soldiers) refused.
“When he hit the fuel, he picked the liter he thought it was not working. He thought he was joking, and said to me, “am going to set you ablaze”. He didn’t know that the liter was working, I then called the Commanding Officer(C.O) that my husband was going to set us ablaze. I called him three times.
