Hon. Kolawole Babatunde (Amaechi) Distributes Free Fuel to 500 Okada Riders in Akoko South East and Akoko South West Local Government Areas of Ondo State to cushion the present economic pains

In furtherance of his significant efforts to ease the economic hardships faced by local communities, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, the immediate past Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Rural and Community Development and a former Federal Legislator, today distributed free fuel to 500 Okada riders in Akoko South East and Akoko South West Local Government Areas of Ondo State. This is part of the numerous palliative measures initiated by Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, who is known as Amaechi in political circles, in bringing succour to the less privileged in the society particularly in this period of temporary economic hardships caused by the economic reform measures of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration which are aimed at repositioning the nation’s economy.

Speaking during the event in Oka, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde lauded President Tinubu for being a responsive leader who is rolling out various palliative measures to ameliorate the hardships faced by the people. He also commended the efforts of Ondo State Governor and APC candidate in the upcoming November 16 Governorship Elections, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his pragmatic leadership in ensuring that Ondo State remains one of the safest states, even amidst ongoing protests aimed at disrupting the country’s economic reforms.

Hon. Babatunde extended his felicitations to distinguished Senator Robert Ajayi Boroffice on the celebration of this year’s Oka Day festival. Describing the three-time Senator and Asiwaju of Akokoland as a father figure, he expressed his joy at reuniting with him and used the occasion to rally support for Governor Aiyedatiwa in the forthcoming governorship elections. He reassured the people that the current economic difficulties would soon ease off. Senator Boroffice was represented at the fuel distribution flag-off in Oka by his Political Adviser, Hon. Sunday Aijulu.

At the flag-off of the fuel distribution for Okada riders in Akoko South East Local Government, Hon. Katola Kayode, the Transition Committee Chairman of Akoko South East Youth Forum and a chieftain of the APC, expressed gratitude to Hon. Kolawole Babatunde for his consistent support through numerous intervention programmes, even while out of public office. He called on other leaders within the Akoko South East/Akoko South West Federal Constituency to emulate Hon. Babatunde by engaging with and supporting the grassroots populace. He criticized leaders who only visit their communities during election periods, emphasizing the need for ongoing and genuine engagement with the people.

Hon. Kolawole Babatunde’s initiative stands as a testament to his enduring commitment to community development and welfare, providing much-needed relief to Okada riders and highlighting the importance of grassroots support during challenging times.
