Hon. Bidemi Joshua Obayangban, Special Assistant to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on Forestry, has commended the governor’s leadership in appointing a new Vice-Chancellor for the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED). He described the decision as a progressive step towards enhancing the quality of education and governance in Ondo State.

Hon. Obayangban praised Governor Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to institutional reforms, noting that the governor’s directive to probe the university’s affairs underscores his dedication to transparency and accountability. He emphasized that this move would strengthen UNIMED’s operations and ensure that the institution continues to uphold academic excellence.

Furthermore, he lauded the governor’s firm stance on good governance, particularly in addressing corruption within the forestry sector. Governor Aiyedatiwa’s decisive action in dismissing a key official over misconduct allegations reinforces his administration’s zero-tolerance policy on corruption and unethical practices.
