Hon. Adebayo Ayodele Gabriel (aka Pace), Vice Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Mourns Mother-in-Law Who Passed at 80
The Vice Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Hon. Adebayo Ayodele Gabriel, popularly known as Pace, has been thrown into mourning following the passing of his beloved mother-in-law at the age of 80.
The late matriarch, Mrs. Adenike Jemiluyi, lived a life of faith, dedication, and service, and was a strong pillar in her family and community. Fondly remembered for her humility, motherly love, and generosity of spirit, she touched countless lives during her lifetime. She was widely regarded as a woman who upheld family values and instilled discipline, kindness, and godly virtues in her children and in all who came in contact with her.
Born 80 years ago, Mrs. Jemiluyi was the devoted wife of the late Jebe, founder of Oluwa Sawmill in Akure. She successfully raised four children, among whom is Mrs. Folake Mary Adebayo, the only daughter and wife of Hon. Adebayo Ayodele Gabriel, Vice Chairman of Akure South Local Government. Her role as a mother and grandmother will remain a lasting legacy of love, care, and inspiration.
Hon. Adebayo Gabriel described his late mother-in-law as “a rare gem, a prayer warrior, and a dependable source of encouragement who stood solidly by her children in times of joy and challenges.” He noted that her departure has left a deep vacuum in the family, but her impactful life will continue to serve as a guiding light for generations to come.
Since the announcement of her passing, political associates, traditional leaders, friends, and well-wishers have continued to visit and extend condolences to Hon. Gabriel and his family. Many have testified to the good name and enviable legacy the late matriarch left behind.
Funeral arrangements, according to the family, will be announced in due course.
The people of Akure and beyond join the family in mourning this great loss while also celebrating a life well lived in service to God, family, and humanity.
