Himma Youth Farmers Association Holds National Working Committee Meeting in Abuja

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Himma Youth Farmers Association convened a strategic meeting yesterday at Area 11, Mall of Dubai, Gibiya Street, Abuja. The meeting was attended by:

Ahmed Yusuf – National President

Engr. Anthony Oladejo – National Vice President

Abdulhamid Ahmed – Organizing Secretary

Hajiya Khadija Musa – Woman Leader

Maryam Inda Nyako – National Coordinator

Abdul Rahaman Musa Kida – Member

Mr. Eric Adile – Member

Mr. Valentine Chidi – Member

The committee reviewed ongoing activities and deliberated on upcoming initiatives to further strengthen the association’s role in advancing youth-driven agriculture.

A key point of discussion was a request from the association’s Business Manager for an official letter from a state governor who has allocated land for farming to the association. This document would safeguard the land from being repurposed by future administrations for other uses such as construction or infrastructure projects.

To address this, the NWC resolved to arrange a courtesy visit to His Excellency, Farmer Governor Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago, Governor of Niger State, as well as to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the ETSU NUPE of Bida.

These visits are aimed at fostering stronger partnerships, securing institutional backing, and further promoting youth participation in modern, sustainable agriculture.
