Bandits have reportedly attacked residents of Kakangi ward in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State.
This was confirmed by the member representing Kutemeshi constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yahaya Musa Dan Salio, who also stressed that the terrorists killed four vigilante members and a Mobile Police Force (MPF) officer.
Salio disclosed that the attack happened on Sunday, June 23.
He added that apart from the residents, other villagers around Sabon Layi were also abducted on their farmlands.
Further confirming the incident, the Kaduna State Police command spokesperson, Mansir Hassan said: “When we received the information that bandits attacked people on their farms, the divisional police officer and the hunters posted in the area mobilised and repelled the attack.
“In the process, three local vigilantes and a mobile policeman were killed.
“Several bandits were also neutralised and others escaped with bullets wounds.”
