Governor Nasir Idris Honoured as Best Governor of the Year by National Progressive Councillor Forum
The Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), has been conferred with the prestigious Best Governor of the Year Award by the National Progressive Councillor Forum (NPCF), in recognition of his outstanding leadership, people-oriented policies, and unwavering commitment to grassroots development.
The colourful ceremony, which drew dignitaries from across the country, was held over the weekend in Abuja. It provided a platform for the Forum to celebrate exceptional leaders who have demonstrated excellence in governance and a deep sense of responsibility toward their people.
In his remarks, the NPCF National Chairman applauded Governor Idris for transforming Kebbi State within a short period, particularly in the areas of education, agriculture, infrastructure, and youth empowerment. He noted that the governor’s inclusive governance model has inspired confidence among citizens while also setting a standard for other states to emulate.
The event was also graced by prominent political leaders, including Hon. Aminu Suleiman, the Director-General of the Tinubu Support Organization (TSO). In his goodwill message, Hon. Suleiman congratulated Governor Idris on the achievement, describing him as a true progressive leader who shares in the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a renewed Nigeria. He further commended the governor for aligning Kebbi State’s development agenda with national priorities on agriculture, security, and economic reform.
